A Flower Friend

I have been blessed with the greatest gift, a flower friend.  My dear friend Tabby shares my passion for growing gorgeous blooms, working in the sun and soil, and creating beauty.  Our gardens are very different, as are our goals but our common bond is the beauty and peace our gardens provide us and our desire to share that beauty with others. 

This year we decided to go on a Flower Retreat.  We packed our craft supplies, snacks, and a couple of bottles of wine and headed to the mountains.  We spent two days in our cozy clothes dreaming about flower filled gardens and bounties of fruit and vegetables.

I am very concrete and methodical in my thinking and planning; Tabby is whimsical and free.  Together, we designed, discussed, laughed, and cheered each other on.  As the snow fell outside, we sketched our dreams to life, and I was so grateful for such a kindred soul to share my passions with.
